오늘은 <마태복음 27장> 27~44절(예수, 십자가에 못박히다)

27:27 그 때에 총독의 군인들이 총독 관저로 예수를 데리고 가서 그분 주위에 전부대를 모았다.

27:27 Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole company of soldiers around him.

 27:28 그러고는 그분의 옷을 벗긴 다음 그분에게 붉은 망토를 둘러 걸치게 했다.

27:28 They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him,

 27:29 또한 가시나무로 관을 엮어서 그분의 머리에 얹어 놓고 그분의 오른손에는 갈대를 (들렸다). 그리고 그분 앞에 무릎꿇고 조롱하며 "유대인들의 왕, 만세!" 하고 소리질렀다.

27:29 and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand. Then they knelt in front of him and mocked him. “Hail, king of the Jews!” they said.

 27:30 또 그분에게 침을 뱉은 다음 갈대를 빼앗아 그분의 머리를 쳤다.

27:30 They spit on him, and took the staff and struck him on the head again and again.

 27:31 그렇게 그분을 조롱하고 나서 망토를 벗기고 그분의 겉옷을 입혔다. 그러고는 십자가형에 처하기 위해서 그분을 끌고 갔다.

27:31 After they had mocked him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him away to crucify him.

 27:32 그들이 나가다가 시몬이라는 키레네 사람을 만나자 그를 강요하여 예수의 십자가를 지게 하였다.

27:32 As they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross.

 27:33 그들은 골고타라 하는 곳으로 갔는데 이는 해골터라 하는 곳이다.

27:33 They came to a place called Golgotha (which means “the place of the skull”).

 27:34 그들은 쓸개를 섞은 포도주를 마시라고 예수께 드렸으나 그분은 맛만 보시고 마시려 하지 않으셨다.

27:34 There they offered Jesus wine to drink, mixed with gall; but after tasting it, he refused to drink it.

 27:35 그들은 예수를 십자가에 달고는 주사위를 던져 그분의 겉옷을 나누었다.

27:35 When they had crucified him, they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

 27:36 그리고 거기 앉아 그분을 지키고 있었다.

27:36 And sitting down, they kept watch over him there.

 27:37 그들은 그분의 죄목을 그분 머리 위쪽에 붙여 놓았는데 "이는 유대인들의 왕 예수이다" 라고 씌어 있었다.

27:37 Above his head they placed the written charge against him: this is jesus, the king of the jews.

 27:38 그 때에 그들은 예수와 함께 강도 둘을 십자가형에 처했는데 하나는 오른편에 또 하나는 왼편에 달았다.

27:38 Two rebels were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left.

 27:39 지나가던 자들이 머리를 흔들면서 예수를 모독하여

27:39 Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads

 27:40 말하기를 "성전을 헐어 버리고 사흘 안에 세우겠다던 사람아, 네가 하느님의 아들이거든 네 자신이나 구하려무나, 십자가에서 내려오려무나" 하였다.

27:40 and saying, “You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! Come down from the cross, if you are the Son of God!”

 27:41 그와같이 대제관들도 율사들과 원로들과 함께 조롱하면서 말했다.

27:41 In the same way the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders mocked him.

 27:42 "남들은 구했지만 자신은 구할 수 없는가보구나. 이스라엘의 왕이렷다. 지금 십자가에서 내려와 보시지. 그러면 우리가 그를 믿을 터인데.

27:42 “He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save himself! He’s the king of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.

 27:43 하느님을 신뢰했겠다. 하느님이 원하신다면 지금 그를 구출하시라지. 그가 '나는 하느님의 아들이다' 하고 말했으니까."

27:43 He trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he wants him, for he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”

 27:44 같은 식으로 그분과 함께 십자가에 달린 강도들도 그분을 모욕하였다.

27:44 In the same way the rebels who were crucified with him also heaped insults on him.
