(Romans 4:13) For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
(Romans 4:14) For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
(Romans 4:15) Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
(Romans 4:16) Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
(로마서 4:13) 이는 그가 세상의 상속자가 되리라는 그 약속이 아브라함에게나 그의 씨에게 주어진 것은 율법을 통한 것이 아니요, 오직 믿음의 의를 통한 것이기 때문이라.
(로마서 4:14) 이는 만일 율법에 속한 자들이 상속자들이 된다면 믿음은 헛된 것이 되며 그 약속은 아무 효력이 없게 되기 때문이라.
(로마서 4:15) 이는 율법이 진노를 일으키기 때문이니, 율법이 없는 곳에는 불법도 전혀 없기 때문이라.
(로마서 4:16) 그러므로 그 약속이 은혜로 인한 것이 되게 하시려고 그 약속을 믿음에 속하게 하신 것이라. 그 취지는 그 씨 전체에게 그 약속을 확실하게 하시려는 것이니, 율법에 속한 자뿐만 아니라 아브라함의 믿음에 속한 자에게도 그러하니라. 아브라함은 우리 모두의 조상이니,
